Mapping Your Success with Precision

What Is A GPS Land Survey?

A GPS land survey is a method of surveying that uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine precise positions and measurements on the Earth’s surface. GPS land surveys are used for various purposes, including mapping, establishing property lines, and gathering information for architects, engineers, and developers.

GPS surveying relies on signals from satellites to pinpoint a location on the Earth’s surface. It uses at least 24 separate satellites in a system that consists of six Earth-centered orbital planes, each having four satellites.

Deliverables

We understand that every surveying project is unique. That’s why we offer a range of global positioning system survey deliverables to meet your specific needs.

GPS surveying is an efficient and accurate way to map an area. There are two main types of GPS surveys: static and kinematic. Static GPS surveys use a stationary unit to collect data, while kinematic surveys use a moving unit.
Both types produce accurate results, but kinematic surveys are more precise

Elevating Accuracy in Every Inch

Commercial Drones For
GPS Surveying

We use heavy lift commercial drones as a tool for GPS surveying. Our drones are equipped with hardware that allows for mounting gps equipment to them, allowing us to collect accurate data from the air.

Using drones for GPS surveying allows us to collect data in a way that is both accurate and cost-effective. The use of drones allows us to collect data from difficult-to-reach or inaccessible areas, such as steep slopes or bodies of water. This allows us to collect data that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to obtain using traditional surveying methods.

Discover Land, Discover Possibilities

Ground Control Points are Essential for Accurate GPS Surveying

We use land-based reference points, also known as ground control points, as part of our GPS surveying process. These points are physical markers, such as survey monuments or reference points, that are placed on the ground and are used as a reference for collecting GPS data.

We use ground control points to ensure the accuracy of our GPS data. When collecting GPS data, the location of the receiver must be known in order to calculate the latitude, longitude and height of the data being collected. Ground control points provide a known location on the ground, which we can use as a reference when collecting GPS data
